WATCH: Demi Lovato Details Drug Overdose As First Two Episodes Of ‘Dancing With The Devil’ Documentary Premieres

On 24 July 2018, Demi Lovato overdosed on a drug cocktail that nearly ended her life. She has relapsed two months earlier and was in a downward spiral while hiding her pain from those close to her. After the incident nearly killed her, Demi knew that she needed to make a massive change and embarked on a journey to find herself. Now, the star tells all in her gripping four-part documentary series ‘Dancing With The Devil’.

The star opted to be open and honest with her fans and tell her story unapologetically in the new docuseries. The filming of the docuseries took a total of 14 months, starting in 2018 when a completely separate documentary about the pop superstar’s Tell Me You Love Me Tour in 2018 was shelved due to her heroin overdose. Her recovery ultimately became the focal point as Demi tries to overcome what drew her to overdose.

In the first two episodes, streaming now on YouTube, Demi opens up about breaking six years of sobriety, trying harder drugs, as well as traumatic sexual assaults that have shaped her relationship with drugs and her own body.
