‘Cool For The Summer’, Demi Lovato’s first single off her new album ‘Confident’, has become one of the biggest songs of 2015 and as she released her fifth studio album today, the singer has also picked the album’s title track as the second official single. The song was written by Demi alongside song writing legends Max Martin, Ilya Salmanzadeh, and Savan Kotecha.
Demi has gone through some ups and downs over the past few years. Not only did she suffer from an bulimia but she has also been dealing with bipolar disease. It’s been a tough transition into adulthood but now, Demi has come out tops and is more confident than ever. The song’s infectious drum-line sets the perfect tone for the song – it’s strong, sassy and full of confidence and is paired beautifully with the sounds of brass horns similar to an emergency alarm. Demi is incredibly underrated for her vocal ability and there are moments in the song that will remind you just how good she really is.
We love this new side of Demi and it seems to be doing wonders for her as well. Demi sounds more comfortable than ever with the music off this album so it’s not surprising that this album has some of her best material to date. ‘Confident’ releases on iTunes last week and in music stores today so make sure you get a copy today!
