Nigerian superstar Davido made his highly-anticipated return this week as he dropped his brand-new album ‘Timeless’.
The release of the album, which followed months of silence after a tragic occurrence in 2022, has set a new standard in the music industry, with the singer breaking and setting different records.
The response to the new album has been so great that the star broke some records on streaming platform Apple Music. According to a tweet from the streaming platform on Monday, ‘Timeless’ has received the most first-day streams ever by an African album on the platform. “The Nigerian superstar’s #Timeless had the most first-day streams ever for an African album on Apple Music,”
Davido also set a new world record on Audiomack, with the album hitting 12 million streams during its first day of release. “RECORD-BREAKING: @davido’s #Timeless had over 12 MILLION streams in its first 24 hours, more than any other album on Audiomack, ever.

‘Timeless’ features 17 new tracks from the Afrobeats star and showcases diverse tunes and collaborators, such as Asake, Fave, Focalistic, Angelique Kidjo, and Skepta, among others. Additional featured tracks include ‘U (Juju)’, ‘No Competition’, ‘Picasso’, ‘For the Road’, ‘LCND‘, and ‘Champion Sound’.
