We’re thrilled to have been blessed with new music from local rock legends CrashCarBurn. As they continue to promote their comeback album ‘Back From The Dead’, the group has picked ‘Carry On’ as the next single off the project.
The song was born in the shadows of Covid-19 pandemic, when it seemed as if all of frontman Garth Barnes’ best friends and family were moving overseas and it hit him hard.
One of the band’s personal favourite tracks from the new album and one which seemed to be receiving the best feedback from live shows, ‘Carry On’ is a song about the bitter sweet experience that is living in South Africa: A wild wild west combined with a rollercoaster of highs and lows.
A signature, big CrashCarBurn anthem with a darker subject matter, the single still features the band’s renowned positive energy and message – the song is for anyone seeing the country falling apart, but who still loves it beyond measure.
“Well, I’m not going to stand here and lie about how it’s a revolutionary CCB track that’s a whole new bag… because it ain’t! Lol. It’s classic CCB, but just the best version of it so far,” Garth tells us. “You spend years practicing and getting better at a thing until you create something that is as close to perfect as you could imagine… I think this track is that for us. We’re super proud of it.”
