She’s changed the face of the South African dance scene with her eclectic approach to choreography but dance isn’t the only thing b-girl and DJ Courtnaé Paul is passionate about. The star has also been obsessed with music for the longest time and now, she’s teamed up with some of the hottest female talent in the country as she drops her debut EP ‘Got Next’.
“‘Got Next’ as my first musical offering is a look behind the curtain into the multiple layers of me,” Courtnaé says. “The sounds cross genre from hip-hop, to funk and even a touch of Afro. These are the sounds that best describe my style and are only a glimpse of what’s to come.”
The project features the likes of Gigi Lamayne, Moozlie, Boskasie, Manu Worldstar, Holly Rey and Benny Afroe and is led by lead single ‘Doing Fine’ – a fitting release and tribute for Women’s Month.
Courtnaé has proven to be one of the most versatile acts in the local entertainment space and this EP hints at an exciting musical career ahead.
