Local R&B crooner, Chad Saaiman, is back with a brand new single. The singer has been working hard in studio on his new single ‘Nights’ which officially dropped this week. The song is an ode to his youth as he lived life as a young’un in Cape Town. The song serves as the next single off Chad’s upcoming EP which will hopefully drop sometime this year.
Chad has a magnificent voice and puts his vocals on full display on the track. His smooth voice is paired perfectly on the edgy R&B production and the song sees the singer releases something out of the ordinary. I love the light jazz and funk elements the singer brought to the table – something that has become more and more popular throughout the pop genre over the past few years. Chad also shows off his rapping skills on the track, which I really enjoyed. I like that we’re seeing a different side of him. The song is a personal one and it’s always great seeing artists share their story through song.
“The song is a throwback to the nights of my youth growing up in Cape Town, and a celebration of my life right now. I wanted to create a classic yet fun track that represents where I am from and shows gratitude to where I’m at,” Chad says on the inspiration behind the song. Besides releasing new music, Chad is keeping incredibly busy. He has just moved back to Cape Town and started Stereotype Talent Management with his brother. Even though making music and playing live shows will always be an integral part of his life, he is also making time to develop and nurture new talent. “It’s time to work on my legacy and empire,” he said. ‘Nights’ is another lovely song from Chad and I’m excited to see what his upcoming EP holds.
