After releasing the hits ‘All The Kings Horses’ and ‘Walls’, Carli J Myers is ready to take the next step in her musical career. The singer drops her brand new single ‘Crazy’ today and has announced that she has officially signed to The David Gresham Record Company – one of the biggest independent labels in the country.
“I am really thrilled to be working with David Gresham and his excellent team,” Carli said of the signing. “Over the years the Gresham team have released some great tunes and I am excited to have now joined forces! It’s wonderful to walk into their offices and feel the warm passion for the industry resonate. I’m looking forward to this journey with David Gresham Records!”
To celebrate their new partnership, Carli drops ‘Crazy’, her first single through the record company, today – almost a year since releasing her previous hit ‘Walls’. “‘Crazy’ is something a little different from my previous releases. I’ve pushed my creative boundaries on this track,” she says. “I co-wrote the song with Ameen Harron, who produced the track. The collaboration was born out of the first ever BMI songwriting camp in Africa, sponsored and hosted by BMI in conjunction with Music Exchange.”
The track is definitely a new sound for the star who heads into a more commercial route than we’ve heard from her before. Judging from this song, Carli has made the right move creatively and it seems her relationship with her new label is already paying off. I’m looking forward to hearing more from Carli – who will hopefully be dropping an album this year.
