Carli J Myers is dropping bop after bop – and her new single ‘Authentically Yours’ just got a new remix and features South African pop royalty Locnville. Jumping on as both producers and vocalists on the remix, Locnville inject their fresh approach to pop music onto the already catchy track.
Speaking on the new remix, Carli states: “I was so excited and honoured to work with Locnville. I have been a massive fan for years so when Andrew Chaplin of Locnville shared that they were keen to remix my music, I was thrilled. I was blown away when I heard how they reimagined ‘Authentically Yours’.”
She adds “[Locnville] gave it a totally different feel yet kept its essence – the creativity in how music can be reimagined keeps me inspired, motivated and energised!” adding, “One of my favourite things to do is to collaborate with other artists and creatives. I love the process and I love the output of several minds inspiring each other and crafting something new, beautiful and something of which to be proud.”
Andrew Chaplin, also known as producer Djenga, of Locnville went on to say, “Remixing is one of my favourite things to do in production. I love having a base of something to work off of and then giving it a unique feel and turning it into something new. This was the case with this track, I thought the melody was super catchy and it made me want to do something more club orientated for it.”
