After what feels like a lifetime, pop sensation Camila Cabello has premiered her highly-anticipated third solo album ‘Familia’. The project has already spawned hits like ‘Don’t Go Yet’ and ‘Bam Bam’ with Ed Sheeran – all which have traditional Cuban influences running through them. Breaking the mold, Camila has tapped WILLOW for ‘Psychofreak’ – the edgy third single off the project – and we’re obsessed!
Interestingly, the song is all about her fallout with her fellow Fifth Harmony members after she exited the girl group in 2016. The song is “about all of the different things that have made up my journey with anxiety and starting off really young in the industry,” Camila says of the song.
“We have been supportive of each other through DMs and stuff,” she continued, referencing her former bandmates Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Normani. “I’m in a really good place with them.”
The track comes alongside a dark music video which sees the girls performing on turquoise and green-painted walls, panelled office ceilings and carpeted flooring. As the video progresses, the walls in the space start to shift signifying the effect anxiety has on a person.
