Well, that was fast. After a year with one of the biggest radio stations in Johannesburg, Bridget Masinga will officially be saying goodbye to Jacaranda FM at the end of the month. Her popular 9am – 12pm mid-morning slot made her a hit with listeners and many will be sad to hear that her time on the station has come to an end. However, Bridget will still be on the airwaves as she joins another Johannesburg-based station from September.
“It’s been quite an exciting learning experience for me at Jacaranda FM. Being at Jacaranda FM has afforded me the opportunity to interact and engage with different markets, which was equally challenging as well as rewarding in the end,” Bridget said on her shocking exit from the station. “The mid-morning show has been quite a fun one to present. My listeners and I grew accustomed to each other; all thanks to my incredible team that I worked with and to my colleagues who helped me settle in. But, as the saying goes, all good things come to an end eventually.”
Besides her new radio show, which is rumoured to have an arts and culture focus, Bridget has also signed on as one of the judges in this year’s Miss South Africa pagent. Her star is shining bright and I’m excited to see where Bridget lands next.
