The American Music Awards returned in full force Monday night, lighting up the Fontainebleau Las Vegas with unforgettable performances, bold fashion, and a powerhouse lineup of winners. But the night truly belonged to Billie Eilish, who swept all seven of her nominated categories—including the top honor, Artist of the Year—cementing her as the undisputed queen of the 2025 AMAs.
Taking a cue from host Jennifer Lopez’s jaw-dropping opening medley, Eilish matched spectacle with substance, walking away with trophies for Album of the Year (Hit Me Hard and Soft), Song of the Year (“Birds of a Feather”), Favorite Female Pop Artist, Favorite Pop Album, Favorite Pop Song, and Favorite Touring Artist. It’s official: Billie didn’t just win the night—she owned it.
SZA wasn’t far behind in the spotlight. The R&B powerhouse accepted her awards for Favorite Female R&B Artist and Favorite R&B Song (“Saturn”) with a graceful confidence, delivering a heartfelt thank-you to fans and collaborators.
It was also a banner night for Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, whose hauntingly cinematic “Die With a Smile” scooped up Collaboration of the Year and Favorite Music Video. Mars added Favorite Male Pop Artist to his haul, while Gaga earned Favorite Dance/Electronic Artist, proving once again that their joint project was a genre-bending smash.
Other highlights? Beyoncé made AMAs history as the first Black woman to win Favorite Female Country Artist, also nabbing Favorite Country Album for her groundbreaking Cowboy Carter. In the hip-hop arena, Eminem made a rare appearance—via video—to accept Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Hip-Hop Album for The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). And Doechii took home the first-ever Social Song of the Year for her viral smash “Anxiety.”
The night also marked a massive career moment for Gracie Abrams, who was crowned New Artist of the Year, while Favorite Afrobeats Artist went to South African breakout star Tyla, and RM snagged Favorite K-Pop Artist.
