She’s gone and done it again! Just a few days ago, Ariana Grande started off her new era as she dropped her comeback single ‘positions’, the lead single off her brand-new album of the same name. Now, after wowing fans with yet another song, Ariana has found herself as the holder of even more records as the track makes its Billboard Hot 100 debut at the top of the chart.
With this new number one, ‘positions’ becomes Ariana’s fifth number one single. It also extends her record for the most number one debuts on the chart which is also set at five tracks.
2020 has been a remarkable year for Ariana who celebrates three number one singles this year alone. In March this year, she debuted at number one alongside Justin Bieber on their sweet collaboration ‘Stuck With U’ before doing the same with Lady Gaga in June on their smash hit ‘Rain On Me’. Now, Ariana has reached the summit all on her own with ‘positions’. This makes the track Ariana’s third consecutive chart topper.
Adding to her accolades, this year’s three number one debuts makes Ariana the first artist to earn themselves three number one debuts in a year – a massive feat.
