Apple Gule has cemented himself in the soulful alternative pop scene in South Africa, with his singles hitting the radio and streaming charts. With this success, he has caught the eye of many producers in the house scene as well such as Crazy White Boy & Kyle Watson, Da Capo, Black Coffee, Lemon & Herb, & Themba. Apple is also a regular in the festival scene of South Africa, having played at the world-renowned “Rocking the Daisies” & “Oppikoppi” Festivals.

“LAWDY is inspired by a female I was seeing at the time. I started writing it about a year and a bit ago. Things in that relationship didn’t work out so I stopped for a while. I realised though that it was a good time and I think the song deserved to be finished. I had to put myself back in that relationship and I think to be fair it helped me get over it too” – says Apple regarding the single.
