We’ve seen it countless times in the music industry. Fandoms of two successful female artists will always try and create drama out of nothing as they pit the two together comparing everything from vocals to commercial success, chart performance and more. Now, Amanda Black has had enough of trolls trying to create some sort of beef with fellow musician Zahara and has asked fans to come together in unity.
Amanda recently suggested that she was “scared” of Zahara’s singing ability and after fans expressed that they too would be afraid of Zahara, Amanda told her fans that Zahara “could bring it on” – and it’s caused an uproar between both of the artists’ fans.
Many believed Amanda was being disrespectful but the star has opened up saying that she was just having a bit of a laugh and that she was in no way being shady about Zahara or her vocal ability. “This was supposed to be harmless fun, but of course amagqwirha athatha iadvantage. Please leave me and Zahara alone now thanks iLockdown iyani expoza,” the star tweeted.
Amanda adds “Sometimes bayafuna ubekwa in their respective bins, theres no beef here and they tryna create it..”
We appreciate that Amanda was purely having a little bit of fun on social media and we think now is the time to stop pitting women against each other and create a supportive environment online. We need it now more than ever.
