Another day, another AKA scandal. While many of his scandals don’t have much to do with his music, this weekend AKA announced that he is officially breaking free from his record label Vth Season. The label has been there to launch the star’s career and essentially helped him become the superstar that he is. However, the rapper announced over the weekend that he is done and will be starting a record label of his own. Here’s how things went down:

What do you think, folks? Do you think AKA has made the right move? Many artists are building labels of their own these days so I can’t say I’m surprised. However, Vth Season is an imprint of Sony Music Africa – a relationship I think he could have still benefitted on.
