Lady Gaga Reworks ‘Joanne’ For New Single Release

Lady Gaga has had a mediocre run with her recent album ‘Joanne’. But, the project has been nominated for two Grammy awards – the album was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album while ‘Million Reasons’ is up for the title of Best Pop Solo Performance. Ahead of the star’s performance during Sunday’s ceremony, the star has hinted that she will be performing the album’s title track as she gives the song a piano makeover ahead of it’s release as a single.

The song is dedicated to her aunt who passed away from Lupus at 19 years old. So, as expected the song is incredibly emotional which is why a piano release works so well. It’s evident that the song means so much to the pop star and she gives another incredible vocal performance similar to the one we heard on ‘Million Reasons’. In this version, Gaga replaces the strings with a beautiful composition of keys and, honestly, the song has never sounded better.

It seems this will be the final chapter in the Joanne era and it’s the perfect ending. The song shows such a raw and vulnerable side to Lady Gaga and her growth and maturity has never been seen so clearly until now. The ‘Joanne’ era will go down as one of the most important eras of the stars career and ending it off with version of the title track is an incredibly smart decision.
