Local electronic group GOODLUCK have dominated the local airwaves with singles off their SAMA-winning album ‘The Nature Within’. Now, the group has chosen fan-favourite ‘Saved By The Summer’ as the next single off the project – and you’re guaranteed to be blasting this one on repeat come the summer break!
The track is reminiscent of the group’s breakout single ‘Taking It Easy’ and has a light, breezy sound to it. The track has a strong tropical influence to it which makes it the perfect single to release as at this time of year. Juliet Harding gives a dreamy vocal performance and adds her flair to the brilliantly produced instrumental. “I wanted to capture that feeling of summer holidays, the way we just let go when we are away from home and that sense of depression we all have when we’re sitting back at our desks after a magical vacation – I guess it’s bittersweet,” she says.
What’s a summer anthem without a beautiful video to compliment it? For ‘Saved By The Summer’, the group released a beautiful video in Indonesia on the tropical island of Bali. It features famous Youtube Vlogger Sean Kitching, who conceptualised, filmed, starred-in the video, and edited this exciting collaboration between video and music.
The group releases yet another banger with ‘Saved By The Summer’. It’s exactly the kind of track we want to hear on radio as we gear down into the festive season. It screams sun, beach and, of course, summer! GOODLUCK will be performing in and around Cape Town, Plett and Knysna this festive season and if you’re anywhere around those areas this December, you’re going to want to get a ticket to one of their shows!
