Over the past few weeks, I’ve been listening to DJ Ganyani and GOODLUCK’s new single ‘Fading’ on repeat. The house track is rich in African flavour and emotion so it’s no surprise that it’s taken the country by storm. Now, the track’s official video is here – and it fits the song perfectly!
The song is easily one of the greatest crossover tracks released this year. DJ Ganyani is the king of afro-house while GOODLUCK continue their winning streak as one of the greatest electronic acts to come out of South Africa. I love how both acts have pushed themselves creatively on this track. They have both stepped outside of their comfort zone and the risk certainly paid off.
The music video, which was filmed in downtown, Joburg features GOODLUCK’s lead vocalist Jules, DJ Ganyani and an incredible, self-choreographed dance routine by Basheer Moolman. The video is beautifully shot and highlights the beauty of the Johannesburg CBD. The video has already raked up over 20 000 views on YouTube and that number is expected to rise drastically over the next few months.
