Over the years, Jack Parow has cemented himself as one of the leaders in the Afrikaans rap game. He has released three studio albums as well as an impressive amount of hit singles. Jack has also been pushing boundaries and recently premiered his new reality show ‘Dis Hoe Ons Rol’ which follows him on a journey across the country as he travels on a magnificent Harley Davidson while giving the towns he visits a performance of a lifetime. Now, as the singer drops his first greatest hits compilation, he has released the show’s theme song as his next single.
Jack dropped the video for the new single which features some of the best bits from the show’s first season. The album is Jack at his best. While the rapper stays well within his comfort zone on the new single, he gives the fans exactly what they want. As always, the raps are on point but this time around, Jack slows things down just a little bit – and I really like this side of him. The production on the track is outstanding. I love the guitar riffs on the track and how the chorus contrasts the verse.
The song appears on Jack’s ‘Dis Hoe Ons Rol’ compilation which is already available on iTunes. The album features a mix of his most popular songs, songs that feature in the series and, of course, the TV show’s title track. What’s interesting, however, is that the rapper released both a clean and explicit version of the album. Jack’s younger audience has grown over the years and it’s great that he is tailoring his product to the younger fans as well.
