It’s finally happening! American rapper Kanye West has been rather flaky when it comes to releasing new music. One moment he confirms a project and the next, it’s shelved. But, we can 100% confirm that the star’s brand-new album ‘Donda’, named after his late mother, will drop globally this Friday 23 July.
The album, which will be the rapper’s tenth, follows 2019’s ‘JESUS IS KING’, which won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Album and made history with #1 debuts on the Rap Album, Gospel Album and Billboard 200 charts; surpassing the Beatles and once again tying Eminem for the most consecutive #1 album debuts in chart history, with nine.
Kanye confirmed the news during a Beats ad starring America’s fastest woman, Sha’Carri Richardson, during the NBA finals. The song previewed is called ‘No Child Left Behind,’ and is expected to be the lead single off the project.
