Trace Africa Promises More Local Music

With Africa Day approaching later this month, TRACE Africa today confirmed its new brand direction to increase airplay of the best and freshest Southern African music on the channel.

In a further commitment to remain at the forefront of entertainment trends and movements, TRACE Africa plans to launch a differentiated, memorable and unexpected music experience for their audiences, with an injection of more homegrown hits.

The offering: a brand new tone of voice and direction to be ‘the pulse of Mzansi streets’. And a lot more local music!

“TRACE Africa has been established as the destination for African music with a huge support of Southern African music over the past few years. With the brand’s ongoing commitment of empowerment, we are excited about this new direction to inject more South African music onto the channel” shared Trace’s Managing Director – Southern Africa & Regional Director Anglophone Africa Valentine Gaudin-Muteba,” TRACE Africa will showcase up and coming as well as established Mzansi artists, creatives, movers and shakers. The channel will also play exclusively selected music from the rest of the continent, to celebrate the African flair that is mirrored in Mzansi.”
