Last year, Afrikaans pop star Brendan Peyper released his latest studio album, aptly titled ‘Twintig20’. The album was another successful project from the star and spawned the hits ‘Sterk Soos n’ Leeu’, ‘Lekkerder Op My Trekker’ and ‘Dis Alles Jy’. Now, just a few months later, the pop star is back with brand-new music as he embarks on a new musical era.
‘Dik & Dun’ is a song about how true friendship can lift you up in difficult times. The past few months have been difficult for everyone. Despite the normal pressures of life, living through a global pandemic isn’t easy and a solid support system is incredibly important – especially when things get tough.
On the track, dedicated to those closest to the star, Brendan Brendan thanks his true friends on their willingness to be there for the ones they love while also relying on him to be there for them. True friends are not only there with the good times, but also when things go awry and Brendan acknowledges the fact that true friends do, in fact, become family.
