It’s no secret that I am a huge lover and advocate of South African music but, as luck would have it, I’m away on holiday while the 22nd South African Music Awards are taking place in Durban this evening. Despite this, I’m glued to the live-stream on YouTube and social media to be a part of this year’s action. It was another exciting year for South African music. We’ve had some huge hits come out of the year and tonight, these artists were celebrated.
Big winners of the night included DBN Nyts, Nathi, Black Coffee and TRESOR. The show was hosted by Somizi and Thando Thabethe who did a fantastic job and, naturally, the show included some incredible performances.
