Slowly but surely, each of the One Direction band members are embarking on their solo careers. Zayn, who left the group back in 2015, has already released an album, Harry Styles drops his self-titled album tomorrow, Niall Horan has already dropped two underwhelming singles and Louis Tomlinson collaborated with Steve Aoki on the hit single ‘Just Hold On’. Liam Payne has just become a new dad but it seems he is finally ready to show the world the music he has been working on.
The star took to Instagram to tease his upcoming debut single – a collaboration with Quavo. The track is rumoured to be written by Ed Sheeran so is sees Liam is pulling out all the stops. In fact, while the rest of the group have experimented with other genres, Liam is going to release a pure pop album – and it’s expected to be mind-blowing.
In a recent interview, Quavo from Migos admits he’s excited for the new single. “I just came from a video today,” Quavo said. “My boy Liam from One Direction. We just shot that. Crazy vid. Crazy visuals. Crazy team. Cool guy, nice guy. It’s going up. I wasn’t even supposed to say that.” The new dad has also been working with Zedd. “To be honest, we met a little while ago and we did a song,” the DJ revealed, “not knowing if it would be for him or me, we just wanted to make music together.” This is a project I’m really keen to listen to!
