It’s been 12 years since Disney and Pixar dropped one of their best films ‘Finding Nemo’ and we have been waiting for the sequel ever since we first watched the film’s credits. Now, as Finding Dory prepares for its June release, the folks at Disney have finally released the film’s first trailer – and it’s gotten me more excited than ever!
“Finding Dory” focuses on Dory, the forgetful friend of Nemo and his father, Marlin, who is on the hunt for her family. “It’s fantastic, it’s hilarious, it’s warm,” Ellen DeGeneres, who voices the character, said shortly after announcing the film in 2013. “It’s everything that you want it to be!” Alongside Ellen’s character, the film will also bring back characters voiced by Albert Brooks and Willem Dafoe, as well as bringing Diane Keaton and Idris Elba into the fold. Alexander Gould, who voiced Nemo, will, naturally, be replaced after his voice deepened as the story is set just six months after the Finding Nemo ended.
The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised,” said Pixar president Jim Morris. “We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others.”
