If there’s one artist who keeps growing beautifully from album to album, it’s pop princess Ariana Grande. The singer has been hard at work recording the follow-up to her latest album My Everything and has chosen the title track, Dangerous Woman, as the official second single to her upcoming third studio album. The track comes after the mediocre success of lead single Focus, which featured backing vocals by Jamie Foxx.
The track sees a new, more mature side of the star and is a sultry, sexy piece of work. The track, on first listen, reminded us a lot of The Weeknd’s sexy jam Earned It thanks to its dark and almost mysterious production. Max Martin did a fantastic job on the production. It’s a dark track with sexy guitar lines and Ariana’s vocals are, yet again, flawless. The track is exactly what we expect from an artist releasing a new album – it’s reminiscent of the artist we know and love but the growth is clear from a mile away.
Ariana has been under immense pressure to deliver the perfect follow-up to her previous album My Everything which spawned five smash hit singles and earned her two Grammy Award nominations – and she crushed it. We could not have hoped for a better single from the singer and we’re officially hyped for Dangerous Women to drop online and in stores on May 20.
