American EDM group, The Chainsmokers, visited South Africa for the very first time this week after headlining Ultra South Africa in both Cape Town and Johannesburg and during their short visit, the duo made sure to take in some of Mzansi’s natural beauty.
The group, consisting of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, toured the country alongside Martin Garrix who was also in the country performing at the festivals. While the DJs loved visiting the Lion Park in Johannesburg, it was Boulders Beach which really took their breaths away.
The stars got the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the adorable aquatic animals – and scored some epic content for their Instagram page.

The Chainsmokers took fans back to 2016 as they took on the mannequin challenge on the popular beach surrounded by Martin and their team. The internet phenomenon saw social media users being filmed while completely still with Rae Sremmurd’s ‘Black Beatles’ playing in the background – and they did a phenomenal job!

We loved having The Chainsmokers in the country for their very first performance here and we can’t wait to welcome them back for more shows in the country.
