The star teamed up with DJ Maphorisa on the impressive house jam which has taken radio stations and clubs by storm. While the song continues to climb charts around the country, Busiswa has finally premiered a colourful music video for the song – and it fits the party anthem perfectly.
Busiswa’s incredibly strong and bold vocal sits perfectly on the beat produced by DJ Maphorisa – a producer who has been ahead of the curve when it comes to his latest releases. The star also features on the producers smash hit ‘Midnight Starring’ and their chemistry is evident with every release. The video visually shows the way the song has ignited parties and celebrations over the past few months and is a perfect accompaniment to the song.
The star, who recently welcomed a baby boy, has made a name for herself as one of the biggest acts in the South African house space and with an impressive new album and this epic video, her status has gone from strength to strength. ‘Bazoyenza’ is fresh, unique and stands out which is why the song has been so successful since its release.
However, in a recent interview, the star admits that although the response to her music has always been positive, she was nervous about releasing ‘Bazoyenza’ and her new album ‘Highly Flavoured’ and delayed the project multiple times. “I wanted to release something that showed me from all sides. Also, every year kept changing and I thought that I needed to change it (the sound of the album). Now I feel like there is a good balance,” the star explains. “I was very nervous to release it because you never know how it will be received. It is like having a baby and introducing it to the world.”
