Over the past few months, Taylor Swift has released two banging new singles. ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ was number one for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and the new single ‘…Ready For It’ is gaining momentum. Ahead of ‘reputation’s release next Friday, the star released an instant grat track titled ‘Gorgeous’ and today, she continues showing off the romantic side of her with another new track titled ‘Call It What You Want’
The track is an honest piece from the star. “My castle crumbled overnight, I brought a knife to a gun fight. They took the crown, but it’s alright,” she sings as she recalls her feuds with Kanye West and Katy Perry. However, the star is stronger than ever thanks to new boyfriend Joe Alwyn. “All my flowers grew back as thorns., windows boarded back up after the storm. He built a fire just to keep me warm,” she sings.
The production is smooth and doesn’t overwhelm. This brings out the emotion in Taylor’s performance – something this era has been lacking. The track proves we still don’t know what Taylor has up her sleeve in the upcoming album and it’s made us even more excited to find out.
