Indie pop group Bastille wowed audiences back in 2014 and they’ve officially announced plans to return to the country for three epic shows in 2017. After the release of their second studio album ‘Wild World’ last year, the group have been touring the world on their Wild, Wild World Tour and will officially return to South Africa this October.
South Africa has always been a special place for the group and the group is incredibly excited about playing in Durban for the very first time. The inclusion of Durban will make for a special visit for the indie pop sensations, with frontman Dan Smith having a close affiliation with the coastal city. Smith’s parents met and found love in Durban shortly before crossing the Atlantic to settle in London, England. In fact, the group released a single titled ‘Durban Skies’ – a tribute to Smith’s parent’ love.
“We’re really excited about heading back to South Africa for these shows,” says Smith. “We had such an incredible time playing in Cape Town and Johannesburg a few years ago, so we can’t wait to head back again with some new music and a date in Durban as well.”
Tickets will go on sale from Thursday 1 June on Webtickets.
