Earlier this year, Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato teamed up for an epic new collaboration titled ‘No Promises’. The song quickly became a massive success for both artists in terms of sales and radio play and now, they have officially launched the track’s beautiful new music video.
Pop/club collaborations are incredibly popular at the moment. Selena Gomez and Kygo, Alessia Cara and Zedd, Coldplay and The Chainsmokers are just some of the names with massive singles out at the moment and the ‘No Promises’ is just as hot. Production-wise, Cheat Codes deliver a sleek production which showcases Demi’s strong vocals beautifully. The track also has a massive drop which has been setting dancefloors all around the world alight. The vocals on the chorus remind us a little too much of The Chainsmokers’ ‘Closer’ and even Justin Bieber and DJ Snake’s hit ‘Let Me Love You’ but it’s impactful.
The stars have just released a music video for the track and despite a bizarre storyline, it’s takes the viewer on a visual journey. The video is beautifully shot and shows the stars partying in a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland while magical prism’s casually appear. The song has all the right ingredients to become a successful track and it gives us our Demi fix while she completes her sixth studio album. I’ve had this song on repeat over the past few weeks and I’m sure I’ll have it on repeat in the weeks to come.
