Siphs – We’ll Go Far

There’s a new name on the local music front making waves around the country. 20-year-old Siphs from Johannesburg has just released her debut single ‘We’ll Go Far’ – and the response has been phenomenal. The release comes after years of performing on theatre stages around the country and a recent international tour in Zurich, Austria, Germany, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Lithuania and the Netherlands as part of a Whitney Huston tribute show.

The song is an interesting direction for someone with a musical theatre background. The track is an interesting blend of R&B, dance and pop and something that definitely has international appeal. The production is something that instantly stands out. The moody dance beat is something local radio will eat up and the guitar riff that dominates the song has a tropical sound to it which is still very popular around the world. Siphs does a fantastic job with the delivery and although struggles vocally in a few places, has delivered a fantastic pop record. There is something unique about the song. It’s different, refreshing and exciting and I love that the new star took such a risk.

“It’s finally happening and I cannot possibly be more ready than I am right now!” Siphs tells me. “’We’ll Go Far’ is an anthem and a song for any moment in life. It’s an encouragement for not only myself but for anyone who believes they’ll go far in all they do in life. It’s also a song about love and appreciation for any relationship a person could be pursuing. Going far is something we all dream of doing in what we love and this year for me going far is the dream!” Siphs is definitely an artist you should keep an eye on.
