Leon Thomas Is Heading To This Year’s Hey Neighbour Festival

Earlier this year, they Hey Neighbour festival announced its highly-anticipated return as it announced that the iconic Doja Cat will be headlining this year’s festival. Now, it’s been confirmed that Leon Thomas will also be heading to our shores to perform at the festival.

The American singer, songwriter & soul-slinging sensation will perform to South African fans at the festival that has announced a few changes – notably being a two-day festival in 2025 instead of a three-day extravaganza.

Leon Thomas is an accomplished American actor, singer, songwriter, and record producer who first gained fame as a child actor before establishing himself as a truly versatile talent in all facets of the entertainment industry. As a solo artist, he has released genre-defining work, including the EP “Genesis” (2018) and singles that showcase his R&B and soul influences, culminating in his debut studio album “Electric Dusk” (2023) and his latest release “MUTT” (2024). He continues to grow and flourish as a multifaceted talent throughout the industry, utilising his skills to pioneer a unique sound that pays tribute to the artists of old while sculpting and redefining modern R&B.

Hey Neighbour is all about world-class talent and homegrown greatness, and 2025 is keeping the same energy as the first edition. From mainstage madness to intimate vibe zones, we’re building a world where everyone belongs — and where every beat counts. HEY NEIGHBOUR is more than a music festival; it’s a full-blown experiential extravaganza that made history back in 2023. For the new neighbour who didn’t have the opportunity to experience it then, think music, good food, think community, new friends, think unforgettable fun.

The festival adds that the full line-up including the local line-up (and maybe another international act) will be announced next month.
