It’s been a hot minute since we’ve heard new music from local Durban-based pop duo Ramdaz, but they’re officially back with a brand-new track. ‘After Midnight’ is the official follow-up to the duo’s last release ‘Won’t You’ and shows off an exciting, different side to the act.
Brother’s Vikshay and Vishekh’s transport listeners through a ‘musical time machine’ building on their nu-disco / funk roots with modern inspiration from Alternative-Pop heavyweights Glass Animals & Imagine Dragons. After Midnight explores a funk / electro-pop aesthetic that documents the timeline of heartbreak (the flashbacks, regrets, and everything in between).
“Heartbreak is a shared global experience and one that we can’t avoid. It’s an emotion that keeps you up at night, whether in your room or floating through the cosmos inside a space station,” Ramdaz tell us of the new track.
