After ‘Live Nwantiti’ became one of the biggest tracks in African music history, Nigerian emo Afrobeats hitmaker CKay is ready to do it all over again as his new single ‘Emiliana’ climbs up charts around the world and becomes a viral sound on social network TikTok.
As it continues to gain momentum, ‘Emiliana’ has recorded just over half a million Shazam tags in less than 2 months since release, with CKay now holding down 2 positions on the Global Shazam chart. ‘love nwantiti’ is positioned at number nine and ‘Emiliana’ climbing into the Top 20 at #19 this week. All the while ‘Love Nwantiti’ remains the most Shazamed Afrobeats track Worldwide.
In November, CKay rose to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Emerging Artists chart to become the top emerging act in the U.S, thanks to the success of his breakthrough single ‘love nwantiti (ah ah ah)’ which continues to go from strength to strength in the US hitting at multiple radio formats, as it rises to #1 on the Rhythmic Airplay charts.
Elsewhere ‘Emiliana’ is climbing fast, currently sitting Top 100 on 6 Spotify Charts including Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden and France. On Apple Music globally, ‘Emiliana’ is occupying positions in the Top 100 Songs in 12 markets.
‘Emiliana’ (Audio) on Youtube has surpassed 8 Million views in less than 2 months since release with over 2 million subscribers following CKay.
