WATCH: Kiddo CSA Celebrates His Debut Single ‘Haibo’ With An Official Video Drop

Kiddo CSA is the freshest new face in the local hip-hop space, and as his debut single with Warner Music South Africa, ‘Haibo’, continues to make waves, the rapper has premiered the official music video for the track.

“‘HAIBO’ is a South African expression for something surprising or sudden to hear,” the rapper said when the song dropped last month. “Right now my life is changing in all aspects and hence there’s a repetitive chant to express my current feelings. It’s a vibe and you feel it when listening to the song. The verses explain the struggles I’ve faced before getting to this point, ‘down below it was poverty, let it show’. It’ll always be a reminder for me to keep working harder and to get in alignment with my higher self. I’ve been in the mud before but I’m never going back.”

When it comes to the music video treatment, Kiddo wanted to portray just that as he stars as a clown working for ends meat. The star takes a look back at his darker days, and looks to the future in hopes of bringing a better life for himself.

The video was directed by Babii and shot in KwaThema where Kiddo reveals that he let his creativity flow on set and didn’t focus too much on planning each and every scene. “Shooting the music video for ‘Haibo’ was such a great experience. Everyone on set was amazing and the process went smoothly,” he says. “I hope that when people watch my music video they get a glimpse of what I’m capable of and that they enjoy the storyline.”
