Afrikaans pop sensation Leah has fast become one of the most popular acts in the local music space. She quickly became a household name thanks to her hit singles ‘Met Jou Klere Aan’, ‘Volmaan’, ‘Ek Noem Jou Myne’ and ‘Nooit Alleen’ with Jo Black and now, she’s taking her career to the next level as she signs a new recording contract with Universal Musiek – the Afrikaans division of Universal Music.
“I am bitterly excited about the journey I will take with Universal. We are all eager to bring out new music together and still make a lot of music. I already feel like family,” Leah says in a statement.
Leah’s popular debut album, ‘Wonderwerk’ achieved gold status in South Africa but the star proved that she wasn’t just talented behind the microphone. The star was also the presenter of KykNET’s popular reality show ‘Boer Soek ‘n Vrou’ where she helped farmers in their search for love. She is currently back on TV as part of KykNET’s ‘Duidelik Dapper’ which introduces viewers to interesting topics and people.
Leah promises some of her best music to date as she officially joins the Universal Musiek family – and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve.
