Jeremy Loops Announces New EP ‘Souvenirs’

Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, local indie pop star Jeremy Loops has kept us entertained with a string of hits over the past few months. His latest single ‘Postcards’ is still racing up the charts and his previous singles ‘Mortal Man’ and ‘Til I Found You’ pushed the star out of his creative comfort zone. Now, he’s ready to drop his new body of work as he reveals that he will drop his new EP ‘Souvenirs’ on 8 October.

Jeremy reveals that he had big plans before the pandemic hit. “Going into 2020, I had it all figured out. A new album of songs I crafted meticulously was going to drop, along with a massive SA Tour, which was then going to be followed by our biggest World Tour yet. But then the world shut down,’ Jeremy tells us.

He adds “So in that lockdown stasis and melancholy, I asked myself if I could write any kind of songs, even ones that wouldn’t traditionally make an album, and if I could collaborate with anybody – like dream collaborations – who would that be? And so, from that ‘freedom’ due to the world’s restriction, funny enough, Souvenirs came to be.’

Speaking about the title, Jeremy Loops says ‘Souvenirs’ is a catch all term for the collection of memories and experiences and songs he’s had while writing this EP. ‘Some people collect trinkets as souvenirs, but they’re ultimately just capsules, physical manifestations of memories and an important time or interesting experience. These songs are that for me. Mirror-like, but also a seminal and special time for me as a songwriter.

‘Souvenirs’ will be available on all major digital music platforms on 8 October. Pre-Save here: https://jeremyloops.lnk.to/presavesouvenirsSo
