While the clubbing space is still massively impacted by the Covid-19 lockdown regulations, local DJs TiMO ODV and Aidin Caye have joined forces and whipped up the banger that will make you miss those late nights dancing the night away.
‘We Don’t Care’ is the first single from his upcoming EP, ‘Midnight Children’. The single is an amalgamation of the past, the present and the future TiMO takes inspiration from them all mixed with falsetto vocals, pitched vocals and with a choir in the chorus. The drums are inspired by the 80s with similar processing and the 2020 inspired bass gives the track a sense of nostalgia but with a futuristic twist.
“It’s pretty much how I feel a lot of the time when I’m being misunderstood or when people have warped views of who I am. When they put you in a box you just climb out the box and say you don’t care,” TiMO ODV explains.
The track is laced with TiMO’s dirty bass and Aidin’s smooth production and blends the identify of both acts effortlessly. Now if only clubs can open to full capacity again so that we can get down to this banger on the dancefloor (when safe to do so, of course).
