After dropping his latest offering ‘Lindelani’ back in 2015, Dr. Bone is back with new music as he readies his new era. The rapper wanted to make an impact with his return single so he teamed up with childhood friend and vocalist Nana Atta for a new track titled ‘Weaker’.
The song, produced by Nkocy Gasa, who executive produced Dr. Bone’s debut album Lindelani, showcases the romantic, softer side of Dr. Bone but still maintains his signature hardcore punch lines in his delivery.
“Nana Atta is one really gifted song writer and vocalists that I’ve known for a while -Iqhawekazi. I am grateful that she could add her velvety vocals to the track and write such a dope hook,” Dr. Bone tells us. “The song paints a perfect picture of what happens when stars align. Love is a beautiful thing.”
The single comes months after his star-studded single ‘All The Way’ which featured Gigi Lamayne, Tshego Koke and pH RawX. The rapper continues to work on his upcoming studio album which he reveals features the production of South Africa’s top hitmakers and artists. Dr. Bone is ready to share the next chapter of his life, all while maintain a sound that is nostalgic of the early era of South African hip hop with a traditional modern twist.
