Dance music is taking the world by storm at the moment. Just last week thousands of dance lovers in both Johannesburg and Cape Town found themselves at the biggest dance festival to ever hit Mzansi – Ultra South Africa. As the genre grows, so does the number of new DJs and producers making a name for themselves. One we can’t get enough of at the moment is Sam Feldt. After he released his take on the smash hit Show Me Love and follow-up single Been A While, the producer teamed up with Dante Klein and Belgian singer Milow for his new track, Feels Like Home.
The first thing that stands out is the flawless production of the song. The beats are smooth, melodies are crisp and the tropical house flavour is something that is an incredibly big trend around the world at the moment. Milow’s vocals are also clean and it’s clear that he has some power vocal chords on him. The chorus is catchy and stands out beautifully – something that is incredibly important in dance music.
Lyrically, the song is a bit cheesy, but the arrangement makes the lyrics incredibly easy to get stuck in your head. The song is the perfect addition to your party playlist. It’s different, fresh, funky and gives me a whole lot of feels. This is starting off our Phuza Thursday in style.
