Same shit, different day…
Starring: Ryan Guzman and Briana Evigan
Plot: Sean and the rest of The Mob are back for yet another instalment of the hit franchise but find themselves struggling to find their feet in LA amidst the vast number of dance crews around. Eventually, The Mob decides it’s time to go back to Miami but Sean decides to stay and fight for what he wants. He learns of a dance competition is Las Vegas called The Vortex where the winner will get a three year contract at a popular Vegas casino. Sean needs a new crew so he asks fellow dancer Moose for help. Moose introduces him to Andie, another friend and dancer who got injured a few years ago and is now ready to get back in. He recruits some other friends and they head Las Vegas as LMNTrix. Sean finds out that The Mob also entered and a battle for the stage, and, of course, love begins.
Remarks: How many of these films can they actually make? It feels as if all five of these movies have had the same storyline, only in different locations and, to be honest, it’s getting boring. That being said, I think everyone who goes and watches this movie understands that this is just a light-hearted waste of two hours. Sure, the dancing is phenomenal. It really is. Also, the directors have done a pretty good job with the 3D element of the film but there’s just nothing to these films anymore but hot bodies and insane dance moves. But if that’s what you’re into, you’ll love this. Oh, but Izabella Miko’s character Alexa is hilarious!
