There is literally only one reason you’d go and watch this film…
Starring: Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello
Plot: It’s been three years since Mike Lane’s retirement from stripping, but the former dancer misses the excitement and feeling of being on stage. Most of all, though, he misses the best friends that he ever had, the crew known as the Kings of Tampa. Opportunity comes knocking when the guys look him up as they travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for a stripper convention. With the promise of outrageous fun, a reinvigorated Mike can’t resist the chance to jump in and take it all off again.
Remarks: I’m not going to lie – I didn’t enjoy the first film at all and the sequel isn’t much better. Firstly, I’ve always felt that Channing Tatum is a terrible actor and this can be seen closely in this film. I don’t know, there’s just something so awkward about him. Secondly, there is absolutely no story to this film. It’s literally the old gang back for one last show. Simple. Oh, and the whole convention vibe literally screams Step Up 3D. A complete rip-off if you ask me. The whole film is literally about the chiseled bodies of the actors and their incredibly sexual dance moves which will be sure to get the girls hot and heavy in the cinema. I’m even sure that the film will cause a whole lot of break ups with girls saying “I want my man to do that.” While his acting is atrocious, I must give props to Tatum on his brilliant dance moves. The dude has skill. Now, if you want a good film, watch San Andreas instead but if you want to see male flesh, make this your movie of choice this weekend.
