Lindelani (Warner Music)
Breakdown: He’s the first artist to release an album under Warner Music South Africa’s local division and the country has their eyes fixated on Dr. Bone. The lead single off the album, Noma Benga Khuluma features the one and only iNdidane and is charting on multiple stations around the country.
How Many Good Tracks: 9 of the 14.
What I Liked: The first thing that really stands out on this album is the production. The rapper spent a lot of time making sure that each and every song sounds great and he did a fantastic job here. It’s clear that he has poured his heart and soul into this album. His hunger, emotion and passion is clearly evident in the tracks which will, no doubt, speak to his audience. This album is yet another example of how South African music is shining brighter than ever.
What I Didn’t Like: Does this album break boundaries? No. Dr. Bone dropped a good album but I don’t think it’s one people will be talking about for a very long time. That being said, the dude is mad talented and for a debut album, he did a good job.
Best Track: Noma Benga Khuluma
