Uh… No words.
Starring: Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal
Plot: An original political satire about a naive small town waitress, played by Jessica Biel, who accidentally gets a nail buried in her head, causing erratic and outrageous behavior that leads her to Washington DC. There she falls for a dashing, but clueless, Congressman who searches for the courage to save her.
Remarks: Okay, what a load of crap. What the hell were these A-listers thinking? Firstly, the story here is really bad. I mean the writer of the film literally had everyone so calm about the fact that Alice (Biel) had a nail in her head. Sure, it caused some erratic behaviour but still. Then, she sees a congressman on TV who is looking for people to help and she jumps at the opportunity? Hey, desperate times I guess. The acting was terrible as well. From everyone. Sure, I get it was supposed to be a satire but gee, let’s make this a little bit believable, you know? The story gets more and more ridiculous as the film goes on. I was thinking twice about actually writing this review, but if I save one person from watching this disaster, it would be worth it.
