It’s been a while since we heard new music from hip-hop duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis – and with good reason! Macklemore has become a dad! Now, their first single in over a year is a dedication to his daughter, Sloane. The track features guest vocals from the brilliant Ed Sheeran so you know it’s going to be an amazing song without even hearing it!
The track speaks about Macklemore’s excitement and fear regarding parenthood and what life he hopes his daughter lives. It’s great seeing a more personal side to the band who are known for hits such as ‘Can’t Hold Us’ and ‘Thrift Shop’ and reminds us a lot of their smash hit ‘Same Love’. The song is incredibly special and written beautifully and we know Sloane will appreciate this song so much when she grows up.
