Jesse Clegg is starting 2016 off with a bang. After the huge success of his recent single ‘Use Me’, the singer has dropped the second single off his upcoming album and has, once again, succeeded all expectations. The track, called ‘Souvenir’, is another pop/rock gem from the singer and Jesse sounds more comfortable and confident than ever before – and it’s made a huge difference to his music.
The song starts off with a dark pop sound before Jesse’s calm, soothing voice eases one into the chorus. Lyrically, the song talks about a broken relationship. Jesse explores how a lover lets their partner go after all the experiences they have gone through. The track is written well and ticks all the boxes a good pop track needs. The song sounds different to other pop tracks on radio, however, it still stands out, making it a unique release at the moment.
Jesse has been on a roll with his new music and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the table when he releases his new album later this year. We would like to see him step outside his comfort zone on a track or two off the album so we’re hoping he has a surprise up his sleeve. Remember to support local music and buy the song off iTunes.
