We all know Brad Klynsmith as the multi-talented lead singer of Gangs Of Ballet – one of the country’s biggest pop groups. However, when Brad isn’t in the studio or performing live, he is passionate about mentoring young, up-and-coming musicians with potential. This led to a decision to open up his very own management agency and now, Brad has made his very first signing – teenage musical prodigy Andrew Sutton.
Brad discovered Andrew when he returned to his old high school to watch a musical in which Andrew performed in. “Some people just have it, and Andrew is one of those people. He’s talented, focused and humble. The world won’t be able to resist him,” Brad expresses adding that he is really excited to see Andrew’s career flourish.
At only 16 years old, Andrew is already being called a musical prodigy. With a pure instinct for music and a passion for performance, he has been holding the attention of crowds and winning music competitions since the age of 6. Currently a learner at Northwood High School, Andrew won the Gateway To Fame competition at the tender age of 9, and after the performing bug bit this victory allowed him many opportunities to perform at places like the Gateway Barnyard, Durban ICC and Kings Park Stadium to name a few.
Naturally, Andrew is excited that someone as knowledgeable and talented as Brad is going to mentor him. “It’s been a long-time dream of mine to be a performing artist and Brad is opening the doors to make it a reality,” he said. Today, the star releases his debut single ‘One More Chance’. Unsurprisingly, the song was written by Brad and produced by the SAMA-nominated producer Ewald Jansen Van Rensburg from the group Monark.
The pop track is exactly the sound Andrew should be gunning for. Filled with summery tropical beats, soulful vocals and a catchy melody, the song is destined to become a summer hit. The star has managed to stay on trend and his sound will resonate with pop music fans around the country.
